Programs

The Maryland County Association of New Jersey (MCA-NJ) is seeking sponsors to support all of its ongoing projects implemented to achieve goals set for various programs of the organization. We welcome all donations, whether monetary or goods and services. Donations such as computers, school supplies, medical and surgical supplies will be useful in helping to improve quality of life of people trying to rebuild communities after 14 years of civil unrest in Liberia, West Africa.

The MCA-NJ Educational Fund – This fund supports primary and secondary school students whose parents or guardians can not afford tuition or other education related costs.

After 14 years of civil unrest in Liberia, many children of Liberia have little or no education. Most parents cannot afford to send their children to school. Many Liberian children, as young as 7 years of age, are breadwinners for their families. They can be seen selling their wares on sidewalks or in market stalls.

The Maryland County Association of New Jersey (MCA-NJ) is seeking sponsors to support its initiative of helping to put children back into the classrooms and giving them back their youth.

MCA-NJ is making an effort to support one of the most important initiatives of rehabilitation in Liberia by offering scholarships for students between grades 1 to 12. The organization also has a scholarship fund for students wishing to attend the University of Liberia.

Please help put our children back into the classrooms.

AVERAGE ANNUAL COST OF TUITION IN LIBERIA!!!
Grade Levels
US Dollars Per Year
Grades 1-3 $35.00
Grades 4-6 $50.00
Grades 7-9 $55.00
Grades 10-12 $70.00

PLEASE DONATE TO THE MCA_NJ EDUCATIONAL FUND. GIVING IS ABOUT COMPASSION AND PRIDE. YOU WILL BE HELPING OUR YOUTHS FULFILL THEIR DREAMS OF OBTAINING AN EDUCATION. YOU WILL EMPOWER THEM AS FUTURE LEADERS CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF LIBERIA.

Sincere thanks,

Maryland County Association of New Jersey (MCA-NJ)

University of Liberia Scholarship Fund - This fund provides scholarships for students attending the University of Liberia in the capitol city of Monrovia. Such sponsorship is part of the organization's long ranged plan of preparing future teachers, social workers and other social and health service providers to serve in communities where they are most needed. MCA-NJ is currently sponsoring five students and plans to increase the number of students as more funding becomes available.

MDCO UL Fund

The MCA-NJ Primary Healthcare Fund - This fund will assist in improving deteriorated healthcare services resulting from 14 years of civil unrest. It will address the basic healthcare needs of people who, because of their remote location and because of   economic reasons, lack adequate basic healthcare assistance. Our goal is to provide an annual donation of medical and surgical supplies or monetary assistance for at least one clinic in Maryland County.

The JJ Dossen Memorial Hospital Project - This is a project sponsored by the National Maryland County Association of Liberia in the United States of America (NAMCAL, USA)  http://www.namcal-usa.org/As an affiliate, MCA-NJ supports fundraising efforts.
