After 14 years of civil unrest in Liberia, many children of Liberia have little or no education. Most parents cannot afford to send their children to school. Many Liberian children, as young as 7 years of age, are breadwinners for their families. They can be seen selling their wares on sidewalks or in market stalls.
The Maryland County Association of New Jersey (MCA-NJ) is seeking sponsors to support its initiative of helping to put children back into the classrooms and giving them back their youth.
MCA-NJ is making an effort to support one of the most important initiatives of rehabilitation in Liberia by offering scholarships for students between grades 1 to 12. The organization also has a scholarship fund for students wishing to attend the University of Liberia.
Please help put our children back into the classrooms.
